We volunteered to go to San Jose to shop around for tables and chairs at a few different stores and compare prices. The community committee board members, which Kevin and I have been invited to sit on, have decided that tables and chairs for the community centre is how they'd like to spend the money that was raised two weeks ago. Every time there is a community event, we have to rent them and it's becoming frequent enough that having our own seems reasonable. Kevin has also offered to make the tables, to save money. We did our research, gathered the information needed to present to the board members at the next meeting. Once there is a decision, we will go back and purchase them. We also took this opportunity to do a bit of shopping at Price Smart (Costco) for some of the items we were running low on. The weather cooperated and we made good time back home. All in all, a productive day... tomorrow though, I will take some time to write my book. It won't get written just by thinking about it (as I've discovered). I think I need to schedule my day efficiently to make sure I dedicate at least 2 hours every day to writing without interruption. I may even go write in the guesthouse where there are no distractions, it's quiet and quaint and no internet access. And now that the rainy season is around the corner, I will get my outdoor chores done in the morning and then when it starts to rain in the afternoon, I can sit down and write. I think that's exactly what I'll do. Excellent plan!
