Just because we're not busy with guests... doesn't mean we're not busy! We're up extra early these days to take advantage of the blue skies. This morning, we caught, gutted and cleaned 10 fish this morning: filleted and smoked one, sold the other nine. This little trout selling business is a nice gig on the side. I'm looking at recipes to see what other products we could make and sell. My mother suggested a trout dip, which sounds very nice... maybe even a salad dressing? I'll have to think about it.
It's going to be a busy week for us... lots of projects to start and finish in the next two months. There's an area near the opening of the aqueduct where the cement is crumbling. Kevin and Martin will have to fix that soon before it becomes a larger problem. We have to try and get the municipality to come and see a tree and give us permission to cut it down. We're going to have to cut some trees in the pasture as well before our friend, Roger, can continue pruning back all the blackberries. We also have a Bingo event on Saturday and I volunteered to make banana bread and fruit smoothies. I'll be cooking all day Friday. It's 11:50 am (our time) and the rain has started to lash down... we can pretty much set our watch to it. Hopefully, I'll get some writing done this week, too.

Hi Heidi, thanks for reading... sending kids to school in September is such a milestone in the year, isn't it, and the marking of another summer over. Before we know it, it will be Christmas... shhhh... let's just take it one day at a time, shall we? :)
