I was writing all day today... seems I slash pages as much as I fill them... I'm assuming that's just part of the creative process and not my need for perfectionism. I feel good about how everything is coming together. I tried to stay in the living room and write while Kevin was outside welding, but I kept getting distracted..... squirrel... birds.... dirty dishes.... laundry.... always something calling out to me.
Once I packed my computer and settled into the guesthouse, I wrote for several hours. Once I get started, I never want to stop. I suffer from that whole 'all or nothing' condition. Moderation in this particular instance doesn't seem to exist in me. Oh well, the good news is if I keep writing more than I slash, I may just get the book done. That's the hope, anyway. Kevin, as I mentioned, spent the day welding the metal frames for the community center tables... he completed 240 joints so far... only 144 joints to go. It's been a stiff learning curve, but his welding skills are definitely improving... a professional might have done it more quickly, but not better. Having said that, he can't wait to finish this project.
