July 1st is Canada Day (146 years old this year) and when it lands on a weekend, the Monday becomes a national holiday. Last year it landed on a Sunday, so Canada Day was celebrated on Monday, July 2nd (Kevin's birthday). Well, anyway, this time last year, we had just had a whirlwind of a day: we had sold the house. It was the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new one for us. So much has happened since then. So many good things!
Someone from my former workplace told me that he didn't think we'd last two years, as though measuring those two years as complete failure. I didn't know then how long this adventure will last. I still don't know. All I can say is having been here 10 months feels like a huge success. We've learned so much... like if you want something, work for it, fight for it and make it happen. We will never regret taking the leap... taking the risk... and believing in ourselves.
