![]() Rolando, Maritza and their youngest son, Joel, came for a visit today. We've been wanting to have them over for some time now and finally we invited them and they were available. We met Rolando and Maritza at Albarito's birthday party way back in September and then Rolando gave us a tour of his coffee farm in late October and gave us all those oranges and bananas. Well, today, they did not come empty handed... they gifted us with lots of bananas again. Rolando doesn't actually grow bananas for commerce, they just happen to grow on his farm.... so they are not sprayed. And they taste so great! They are definitely our favourite. After the standard tour of the property, the boys went fishing. we were going to eat outside, but it started spitting so we decided to bring the table inside. Once the fish were caught, I gutted and cleaned them... I'm getting better and faster with practice (but still nowhere near as proficient at it compared to Martín). Then I stuffed them with lemon, rosemary, olive oil with a dash of salt and pepper. We cooked them on the bbq in tin foil. I also served potato salad, green garden salad (and when I say garden, I mean our garden), with fresh carrots and broccoli. And for dessert, apple crumble. It was a great day with great people. ![]() Maritza ![]() Rolando ![]() Joel
