![]() Remember when Kevin and I went to Tony's, the mushroom grower? We bought a bag of Oyster mushrooms. And look at our crop now! The spores grow in a bag of straw and we have to keep the bag watered and in a shady area (not pitch dark or anything, just not in the sun). This bag should produce 3 harvests. Once we pick the first batch, a second batch will grow and be ready in about 10 days, and the process repeats itself a third time. Neither of us has ever had Oyster mushrooms before, so we have no idea if we like them yet, but we're definitely looking forward to trying them. I will be harvesting these ones in the next day or so and have decided to make a mushroom and broccoli soup. Yum!
