It was nice to stay home today. No school due to a holiday. No errands to run. It was a beautiful day, all day, until about 3 pm, when it started to rain. We were up early and I took the opportunity to do three loads of laundry. It's been so rainy and damp that there's no point in doing laundry because the clothes don't dry. I hoped the sun would be out long enough. It was my lucky day. By the time the rain started, the clothes were completely dry. I did some more unpacking, too. I stripped our bed and got our nice down pillows and duvet comforters out. It's nice to have our own bedding... I even added two small throw pillows. I can't wait for Kevin to see them, because he always teases me about them. He doesn't understand the whole multi-pillow set-up. It makes it look homey. I brought some boxes up to the loft to make more room and as I was coming back down, I fell. I banged my knee and all I could think of while I was trying to keep my balance was 'oh, please no... my back, my back!". I got up, and although my knee was sore, my back seemed fine. Now, several hours later, my knee is merely bruised, no real damage, and my back is only slightly achy. I think I'll live. Close call though.
