We didn't get any unpacking done yesterday, and our new friends from Santa Maria, Cindy and Larry, came for a visit today, so no unpacking today either. That's okay, we'd much rather visit with friends than face the chore of sorting through our stuff (Kevin did set up the TV last night, so we watched repeats of Duck Dynasty and An Idiot Abroad — always good for a laugh). Cindy and Larry arrived at 9 am and we had a lovely time. We sat outside for much of the morning, drinking coffee and getting to know each other better, then while I was making soup for lunch, Kevin, Cindy and Larry took a walk around the property. We had squash soup and fresh homemade bread (courtesy of Larry) for lunch. They left shortly after 1:30 pm. Lovely visiit. Lovely people. The sun was warm most of the day, but at 2:30 pm, it started to pour, but only for an hour. The flowers, vegetable garden and fruit trees needed it. We're sitting in the SUV and no rain. It's all good.
