![]() Although considered one of the more elusive birds, Kevin and I have now spotted the Quetzal 3 times on our property...I'm starting to think I should walk around with a video camera attached to a helmet so I can personally capture all our wonderful discoveries... alas, I had to borrow this image from the internet... again. The Quetzal was about 12 feet away from us. We could see it very clearly in all its glory. Spotting this bird is so exhilarating. Observing its plumage of many colours never gets old. He is just so magnificent. I can see why birdwatchers from all over the world come to this region just for a chance to get a glimpse. It is truly worth it.
