The sun was out for only a short time this morning, but that doesn't stop us. Kevin and I decided to check out the trail Frankie had been exploring yesterday... but today, we left her in the house, much to her dismay. I think she was onto us, because we could hear her howling in protest as we walked down the path. Poor thing. Kevin brought the machete and I followed behind. The trail we somewhat well beaten, kind of. If we go and remove some of the limbs that are obstructing the path, it wouldn't take very long to have a trail clear and safe enough for people to enjoy. In our summer months (winter months for North Americans and Europeans), it would be a lot drier as well. Right now, it's quite wet and muddy, but with rubber boots, it's all good. We found a very cool spot that reminded us of a mangrove with bamboo trees creating a canopy. Without disturbing too much, it could be a nice peaceful place to reflect or paint or something inspiring like that.
