![]() Seidy also has an apple orchard and since I brought her some fresh eggs, she offered me some fresh apples. These apples are called Ana: the same kind as our neighbour cultivates. I just love the thought of walking through an orchard and picking an apple right off the tree. And they are so delicious. ![]() But, I also love a good apple crumble. We had a quite a few plums that needed to be eaten so I came up with my own concoction, incorporating both apples and plums. I've made crumble since we've been here, but for some reason it ends up drier than I'm used to. I'm not sure why. So today, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I had a can of condensed milk and some cream cheese, so I opted to mix those together and spreading a layer over the fruit before adding the crumble topping My hope was that it would add the moisture it lacked in previous attempts. Well, it's only 10:15 am, so we'll wait until this afternoon to try it, but I did have a tiny taste and oh man... gooooo- ooood. I'm quite pleased with it. With a cup of tea later, it will make a lovely treat.
