It was a beautiful day today. Clear, sunny skies for most of the day and when it did rain, it wasn't the huge deluge we've grown accustomed to the past few weeks. It was a welcome change. Martin devised a clever way to create a vortex in the sediment pond to flush it out without having to shovel it all by hand. Genius. Kevin and the men worked all morning and built a gate-like contraption to lessen the amount of water entering into our ponds during the heavy rains. Good job done. I cleaned, did the laundry and snuck in a little reading, too. I just couldn't resist sitting outside in this perfect weather... everything humming along.
