Kevin had brought Karen up the mountain on the ATV a few days ago and decided it was his mum's turn to have a look. So, while they were sightseeing, I took Karen on the trail that runs along the river. We had a really nice time. I decided to wear my tall rubber boots to avoid getting my hiking boots all muddy. Karen had to duct tape her hiking boots because she noticed the soles were splitting from the upper portion of the boot. By the time she wrapped her boots with the shiny sticky tape, she looked like she was wearing astronaut gear. We took our walking sticks and headed out. I wanted to show her that really pretty spot Kevin and I discovered the other day. We made it to our destination and sat on a rock, chatting for quite some time. The sun was beating down on us. It was 28°C and the sky was blue. Gorgeous day. After about an hour we decided we probably should get out of the sun. We headed back.
