I've never been skydiving, but I've heard that when you jump out of a plane and fall, gravity pulls you down (makes sense)... then you get to a certain point and if you look down, the ground rushes up at you very quickly. That is called 'ground rush'. Well, that's the best comparison for how we're feeling right now. Up until now, we've been coasting, looking forward, focused on our target, but now the target is rushing towards us at lightning speed, it seems.
Today is my last day at work and I don't really know how I got to this point. We've been so busy. I've been meeting people for dinner and lunches and now even for breakfast as time is running out. It's just a fact. I said all my goodbyes at work and I was ready. I wasn't sad. It doesn't really feel like goodbye as there are so many ways to keep in touch with people. And since we're opening a B&B, it feels like we'll be seeing people before we know it. It's hard to believe I don't have a job anymore. I won't be getting up tomorrow and driving through all that traffic. Working those long hours. It might take some getting used to.... or not :)
