We woke up to a beautiful, sunny morning. I walked to school rather than taking the ATV. I want to make sure I get my exercise and not rely on 4 wheels. Today was 'kids day' in Costa Rica. All schools celebrated kids so they came to school in their street clothes instead of their usual uniforms. They watched The Lorax in Spanish, while the teachers and I chatted. Catalina, the English teacher, told me all kinds of interesting things about her experiences and so forth. It was lovely to get to know her better. She wants to introduce us to one of her friends who runs Los Santos tourism company. And another friend of hers is a travel agent. She wants to help us network, which is amazing. After the movie, the kids went outside and played games. They had potato sack races (well, not really potato sacks, rather fish food sacks) and when they were all done they enticed the grown-ups to race, too. There were four of us: the Spanish teacher Elizabeth, the English teacher Catalina, Tamara's mother Diana and me. Catalina won. We all had a great laugh. Then we played 'duck, duck, goose' and 'cat and mouse'. I felt like a kid again.
