 this picture was borrowed from the internet, but this is the closest image that captures what I was witnessing. I normally sleep very well, but last night I didn't. I was awake on and off and feeling restless. It wasn't raining, but boy was there ever a lightning show from 3 am to 5:30 am. I got up and watched it for awhile (popcorn would have been nice). It was so incredible!! The light shone between the clouds, giving a multi-dimensional feel to the sky. But no thunder. All I can say is I sure was happy that I wasn't on a boat on the ocean... (it's good to live up on a mountain).
