I spent the day painting the one wall in the office I've been successfully avoiding for the last several weeks. I was prepared to leave the natural wood panels unpainted, but Kevin suggested we needed to add some colour. Since we had some blue paint left, I figured it would had just enough punch while continuing the flow from one room to another. This is the wall which has two large wardrobes, two doors and books shelves. So, although there's not a whole lot of wall left to paint, it was a finicky job... so many bits and pieces to paint around. I really hate first coats. Even though I primed the wall beforehand, the first coat of paint is streaky and blotchy. I can't stand that! But, I do know that after the second coat, everything will look much better. Also, placing all the books back on the shelves will look much nicer, too. I'll finish tomorrow. After the office is done, the bathroom and the loft are the only rooms left to paint. We're getting there!
