School today. The teacher read a story to the class and I didn't understand a single word. And I thought I was doing so well. The kids were laughing and seemed to be enjoying it. Looks like I missed out. I did however help my new amigo, Kevin, with his spelling, so that made me feel a little better (back in Canada, my son Jude has a friend named Kevin and we used to always call him Little Kevin to differentiate from my husband, Kevin. Well, I think I will do the same here, I will call my classmate Little Kevin from now on). Then when I came home, I noticed Martin had planted 3 banana-type trees along the pathway to the guest house. These will grow to be quite tall within the first year. They've been strategically placed to provide our guests a little more privacy. We also spoke with Clara and asked her to plant a beautiful vine, which grows orange flowers, up the side of the carport. These flowers attract hummingbirds, we've discovered, so we thought it would be a nice spot to add some colour and entice the hummingbirds to come visit at the same time.
