Today, I made a decision. Feeling confident that our B&B bookings will increase in our summer season (December to May) and feeling a bit drained from teaching, I gave in my notice to Seidy. I told her that I will continue to teach English to the adult class until December, but after that she will need to find a replacement teacher. It's been an amazing experience for me; I've loved meeting so many great people. I feel like when we drive down into Copey, we're not just driving through as strangers. We are part of that community as much as we are part of Rio Blanco. Seidy was great about the whole thing. She thanked me for all the time I put in and asked if I'd like to work with her in a different capacity. I told her I'd be happy to help, but we didn't talk about anything in particular. We'll see how much time I have when we open the B&B in November.
