To bee or not to bee

See this beautiful, huge tree? Well, we've discovered... yes, another discovery... that it's hallow and home to a colony of bees (that are actually really wasps). We had to make a decision... no hallow tree is a good idea here, especially when it's windy. And of course having the wasps take a hike is not an entirely bad idea either.

These holes are where the wasps were building their nests. There were hundreds of them (I'm trying to downplay it).

And now, the entire trunk is laying in the river. We have to wait a couple of days for the wasps to exit the premises and make new plans (elsewhere hopefully) as they didn't get any eviction notice. I'm sure they think we are lousy landlords, but oh well. There's no rent control here, baby.
