![]() When I told Adriana that I was starting to walk in the mornings, she said she really needed to get some exercise, too, and asked if we can walk together. I was delighted to have a partner to share my pain... I mean triumphs! We set out this morning at 8 am. We met at the bottom of the hill near the river. We had decided yesterday to walk up the road that leads to La Trinidad. Mum and I would walk up that same road for a little bit until the incline started to get too steep, but this morning, Adriana and I kept on walking. I don't have a pedometer, but we walked at least an hour before turning around. We spoke a mixture of English and Spanish... I don't know what was harder, the hike itself or finding all the Spanish words I was trying to say. It was both a physical and mental exercise.... but I feel great! Such a gorgeous day, and I feel lucky to have beautiful and inspiring views to look at in our 'neighbourhood'. ![]() ![]() It just keeps going up! Having said that, we were so busy chatting, we weren't really concentrating on the climb. ![]() ![]() Our farm is at approximately 7000 feet in elevation and it's way down there in one of the valleys... so who knows how much higher we were when I took this picture. Spectacular views, for sure. Well worth the hike. ![]() From here, we made our way back down. What an amazing way to start the day.
