![]() Clara takes care of weeding our flower garden, but in mid-February she decided to take a break. Not only was she getting busier at their restaurant and with school starting up again, but without any rain, the beds were pretty clean and she was struggling to stay busy. I had no problem with Clara taking a few weeks off. I've left things go, thinking she'll have lots to do when she comes back. Well, on Sunday, I mentioned to Clara that the weeds are overrunning the garden and it would be good for her to come back to work. She said she would try to come sometime this week, but I got the feeling she was just saying that. I think there's a strong possibility that she won't. I don't think she believes the weeds could possibly taking over since we've had little to no rain for months. Well, they are... we do water regularly to keep our plants from dying. Anyway, I decided to get cracking on cleaning things up. ![]() Even if she does show up, there's plenty to do!! Check out my elbow-high gloves... I bought them from Lee Valley (a family-run Canadian store)... they are really thin so you can handle tools and plants well, but not get pricked. I love them!
